"you hit the road and left me an ocean..."

Hello, I've only read a couple of Orwell's works but I loved 1984 so much that it compelled me to join this community. I'm actually surprised that they had us read Orwell books at my old high school, with all of the political censorship that goes on in the country and all. But I'm glad they did, otherwise it would have taken me much longer to discover Orwell. I suppose that's it. Any suggestions on good books to read are welcome. thanks.

this is no orwell, but of course Brave New World. and from the writer called MArgaret Atwood, Handmaid's Tale.

some people dont but i really like Animal Farm. also, its not Orwell but its Hemingway. A Farewell to Arms is really good as well as The Old Man and the Sea.

.cody handsome.
another that's not Orwell but is grand is A Clockwork Orange.
I think ACO is one of the good books that is still better as a film.

How about "WE" by Yevgeny Zamyatin. It by a Russian authour and was written in the early twenties, before the complete soviet take over of life.
Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said, by Philip K Dick
